The route
Annecy, Albertville, then the Allues valley.
The car crosses into France and heads south past Annecy to Albertville, then up the Tarentaise valley to Moûtiers. From there the road climbs the Allues valley to Méribel. About two and a quarter hours from Geneva Airport in normal traffic.
Bring a passport or identity card: you cross a national border. From November to March, French law requires winter equipment on mountain roads; our cars carry winter tyres and chains through the season.
Saturdays
The Saturday changeover.
Most chalets in the Tarentaise change guests on Saturday, and the road between Albertville and Moûtiers fills from late morning. We plan around it: an early start from Geneva, or a later one once the traffic has eased. If you land on a Saturday in February, we choose the time with you.

Méribel, Mottaret, and the valleys next door.
We drive to any address in Méribel, Mottaret, Méribel Village or Les Allues. Courchevel lies over the ridge, Les Menuires and Val Thorens up the next valley; by road, each is reached from Moûtiers, and we drive there too.
